Thursday April 1st

I just had to record this little April Fools joke,
since my brother lives in Topeka!

Hope your April fool's day wasn't too crazy...
I only had one benign joke played on me by the kids,
thank goodness!
And one not so benign joke played on me by
someone who shall remain nameless,
but she knows who she is!!! :P

Valentine's Day!

Sunday February 14th

To finish off a weekend of Valentine celebration,
we took a little jaunty down to the Kemah Boardwalk.
I love that place!

Wine and Chocolate

Saturday February 13th

Today we went on a wine and chocolate tour.
At each winery we were served two chocolates each paired with a wine.
This pretty set up was at Messina Hoff,
which we visited for the first time today.

I'm obsessed with Harry Potter

Wednesday Decemeber 30th

Nathan and William gave me a
Barnes and Noble gift card for Christmas.
Today I spent it.
I have read/listened to the entire Harry Potter series,
but I really wanted to own them all so I can read them again.
So, today, I bought them.
I wanted to get the whole set in hardback, but it was $150+!!!
So I had to settle for paper back for now.
Isn't it pretty?!
I really love boxed sets of books...

House Shoes

Tuesday December 29th

Jeremy bought me new house shoes for Christmas.
I went today to exchange them because they were too small.
I don't usually have to exchange gifts Jeremy buys me,
but no one can fault him for not knowing my shoe size. :)

Christmas #2

Monday December 28th

This evening Jeremy and I exchanged our presents to each other.
Our many presents greatly outweighed our tiny tree. :)

Rock Band

Saturday December 26th

Our band: Kreatures of Mythe
We spend much of our time this Christmas,
playing Rock Band with my brothers.
This was before we made any money
and got to dress up our characters.
Notice the names. :)
It was so much fun!

Friday December 25th

I had a hard time picking which picture to put up for today.
William has my favorite pictures on his camera...so
instead I decided to share this.
This was dad's present, but my creation.

Thursday December 24th

Aunt Trudy and Lora came by today.
Aunt Trudy showed us how to make these cute chocolate mice:
cherries, melted chocolate, Hershey kisses and sliced almonds.
Yummy!

Yummy Burgers

Wednesday December 23rd

After picking Nathan up from the airport,
we headed to one of mom's favorite restaurants in Arlington.
We teased dad about asking for a "TOM" discount.
The burgers, onion rings and shakes were all delicious!

Surprise!!

Tuesday December 22nd

We surprised my parents tonight.
We weren't supposed to go to Ft. Worth until tomorrow.
Instead, we burst in on them tonight!
But the first words out of her mouth were
"Ah! What if you had seen your Christmas presents?!"
I told her:
"I only had eyes for you!"

Today, after a half day of school,
we had our faculty party at Pappasito's.
This is me with my partner teacher, Brandy Olukoga.
I LOVE HER!!!

Countdown to Christmas

Tuesday December 15th

Growing up we always had a countdown
to Christmas calendar from which we were
aloud to eat some candy from it each day.
It was a special treat and still a special memory of Christmastime.
Jeremy and I had a hand-me-down one for years,
but this year, my mom made us this one!

Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day with the nieces and nephews.
Here Bella and I enjoy a peruse through the Toys 'R Us ad.
Perhaps you notice the lipstick Bella had applied to herself in secret. :)
