I'm obsessed with Harry Potter

Wednesday Decemeber 30th

Nathan and William gave me a
Barnes and Noble gift card for Christmas.
Today I spent it.
I have read/listened to the entire Harry Potter series,
but I really wanted to own them all so I can read them again.
So, today, I bought them.
I wanted to get the whole set in hardback, but it was $150+!!!
So I had to settle for paper back for now.
Isn't it pretty?!
I really love boxed sets of books...

House Shoes

Tuesday December 29th

Jeremy bought me new house shoes for Christmas.
I went today to exchange them because they were too small.
I don't usually have to exchange gifts Jeremy buys me,
but no one can fault him for not knowing my shoe size. :)

This evening Jeremy and I exchanged our presents to each other.

A really rash purchase

Sunday December 27th

We are continuing to expand our library of Harry Potter movies.
When I went to buy a new one, I fell prey to this enticing package.
Collectors Edition!!!
Too bad it was probably 3 times more expensive than normal movies...

Rock Band

Our band: Kreatures of Mythe
We spend much of our time this Christmas,
playing Rock Band with my brothers.
This was before we made any money
and got to dress up our characters.
Notice the names. :)
It was so much fun!

Christmas Day

Friday December 25th

I had a hard time picking which picture to put up for today.
William has my favorite pictures on his camera...so
instead I decided to share this.
This was dad's present, but my creation.

Christmas Eve

Thursday December 24th

Aunt Trudy and Lora came by today.
Aunt Trudy showed us how to make these cute chocolate mice:
cherries, melted chocolate, Hershey kisses and sliced almonds.

Yummy Burgers

Wednesday December 23rd

After picking Nathan up from the airport,
we headed to one of mom's favorite restaurants in Arlington.
We teased dad about asking for a "TOM" discount.
The burgers, onion rings and shakes were all delicious!

Surprise!!

Tuesday December 22nd

We surprised my parents tonight.
We weren't supposed to go to Ft. Worth until tomorrow.
Instead, we burst in on them tonight!
But the first words out of her mouth were
"Ah! What if you had seen your Christmas presents?!"
I told her:
"I only had eyes for you!"

This is one of my parent's favorite breakfast places.
We went with them a few times while in Oklahoma.
Recently one opened up near our house so we tried it out today.
Yum, yum!

New Furniture

Today we bought a new entertainment center!
We got it off Craig's List for only $60.

We finally laminated this map
so that we can start putting stars on the wineries
that we have visited.
These are only the wineries that are registered as "GO Texan"
but it is our goal to visit them all!

Today, after a half day of school,
we had our faculty party at Pappasito's.
This is me with my partner teacher, Brandy Olukoga.
I LOVE HER!!!

A New Discovery

We went to Olive Garden today.
They have a new dessert on the menu: zeppoli!
They are SUPER yummy!!!!

We got the last book on CD from the library today.
I don't know whether to be in a hurry to finish or not.

Countdown to Christmas

Tuesday December 15th

Growing up we always had a countdown
to Christmas calendar from which we were
aloud to eat some candy from it each day.
It was a special treat and still a special memory of Christmastime.
Jeremy and I had a hand-me-down one for years,
but this year, my mom made us this one!

The weather has been teetering between hot and cold
and todaywe dealt with the results of that.
There was a thick fog that did not let up all day.
In fact, by the time we made our way to the Christmas party
tonight, it was so thick you could hardly
read the street signs in the neighborhoods.
