I gave the picture to her for Christmas and

it was on her dresser when she died.

Trip Down Memory Lane

Monday January 11th

I took some of my old jewelry to get cleaned.

This bracelet is like a tribute to my high school years.

Some of the charms are obvious,

but some of them I have forgotten the significance.

Like the frog? The Rainbow? The Truck?

The four leaf clover I pulled out of a rehearsal

(maybe wedding) cake when I was a bridesmaid.

I can't remember if it was Kristi or Julie's wedding...

I don't know if I will wear it,

bracelets aren't usually my thing...

we'll see.

Monday January 4th

One of the things I did over break
was clean out my jewelry box and
rediscover some old favorites.
One of them was this ring,
which Jeremy gave me while we were dating,
though neither of us can remember when exactly.
I wore it today and tonight we did a photo shoot.
Yeah, I know it's gorgeous-
the ring and the photo.

Countdown to Christmas

Tuesday December 15th

Growing up we always had a countdown
to Christmas calendar from which we were
aloud to eat some candy from it each day.
It was a special treat and still a special memory of Christmastime.
Jeremy and I had a hand-me-down one for years,
but this year, my mom made us this one!

Italian weekend continues

Sunday October 4th

We decided to extend our Italian weekend
to include small group on Sunday.
Jeremy prepared a favorite Sicilian pasta sauce,
we pulled out our Italian flag and played Italian music.

Sicilian Dessert

Saturday October 3rd

This morning we had the blessing of talking with our Italian family.
Our discussion inspired us to try to recreate some of the Italian dishes we miss.
This is a classic Sicilian dessert called "cannoli."
If you come visit, maybe we'll make some for you!

The Parent Trap

Thursday August 20th

Growing up, The Parent Trap was my all time favorite movie.
We watched the original one every year on my birthday.
I was surprised to find today that the original was made in 1961!
And the original almost-evil-step-mother plays the mother of the almost-evil-step-mother in the new one. :)
I like the newer one just as much as the old one.

This picture was taken at Kelly and Lacey's wedding.
2 months later, I wore this garter at my own wedding.
The little bluebonnet pin and ribbon were my something blue.

I love having reminders of our young love spread around our house.
